How do you know if you are really getting the best out of your workouts? It is all very well to stand in class alongside everyone else and follow the instructor, but isn't it better to have an insight into where their demands on you are coming from.

At Bizzybodies our portfolio of classes are devised using recognised principles of fitness or the FITT principles as they are known. These are guidelines provided to ensure that when choosing your fitness regime you can mix and match classes to make sure you achieve your goals.

 


 

F = Frequency
I = Intensity
T = Type
T = Time

The American Council on Exercise, (ACE), make the following recommendations for each principle:

Frequency = 3-5 times per week
Intensity = working between 55%-85% of your MHR*
Type = involving at least 50% of your muscle mass
Time = at least 15-20 minutes per session.
